Pensacola, Fla. – March 16, 2010 – Pensacola native Peppaboy Trill McCoy will share the stage with The Rainmakers and one of the original Hot Boys, Juvenile, at a live performance at 10 p.m. on Saturday, March 27 at The Edge, 2148 W. Delano. The performance, hosted by Rain, Kid Red and Klutch, is part of a birthday celebration for Juvenile (Terius Gray). Juvenile may best be known for his number-one hit “Slow Motion” in 2003 and his album “Cocky and Confident” in 2009.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to take the stage with a talented, rapper such as Juvenile and to entertain fans in my own hometown,” said Peppaboy Trill McCoy. “It’s the perfect venue to perform my latest single ‘Waves on Da Top.’”
Colacoast Entertainment LLC.’s headlining artist, Peppaboy Trill McCoy is a sporty, Southern rapper and spicy lyricist. He was selected to perform at the BET Hip-Hop Awards Weekend and New Artist Showcase in October last year at the UNDERGROUND’S SUBZERO in Atlanta. Special guest panelists included industry pros such as multi-platinum producer/songwriter Mr. ColliPark of ColliPark Records, Warner Brothers South President Orlando McGhee, Aphilliates DJ Holiday, Kevin Shine of Jive Records and GRAMMY-award winning platinum producer DJ Toomp. He first performed in Pensacola in May 2009 opeing for Gucci Mane at Club Carousel.
Peppa’s music portrays his adventures living in Pensacola and jet setting through the rest of the country for recording sessions and performances. Mostly produced by Peppa himself, his music depicts vivid concepts, boasting an original, fresh flavor with a surprisingly smooth but spicy mix that makes the whole body feel good. Taking life experiences ranging from a tough urban upbringing, to attending high-end private schools, his music showcases depth and perspective. Accomplished in a variety of styles and armed with an uncanny talent for lyrics, Peppa is best described as an artist rather than a rapper. He expertly fuses influences from classical music and blues to jazz and pop. You may hear a rock guitar joined by a church organ along with the thump of 808 drums all in one song, as each song takes on its own personality.
Peppa is also a crowd-pleaser with his hot stage presence, including his signature move dubbed by Snoop Dogg “the Pimp Wiggle.” He is a trendsetter and always kicks things into high gear. The name, the game, the flair–all are prevalent in his delivery of songs such as his latest single “Waves on Da Top” and hits including “Jukin,” “Bonafide,” “All on You” and “Wang.”
